Our games are single HTML files. Here is how to open an HTML game on iPhone, on Android and on a computer, step by step.
When you download a game from Etsy, you get a single file
that ends in .html.That file is the whole game. There is nothing to install, no account to create, and no internet connection needed once it’s on your device.
Because it isn’t an app, it doesn’t go through the App Store or Google Play. That’s why the file behaves a little differently on each device, and why iPhone and iPad need one extra step.

This is the simplest one. Android opens HTML files without any help.
.html file to your phone or tablet
It opens in Chrome or whichever browser you normally use, and the game starts. You can go back to it any time by tapping the file again.
iOS doesn’t let Safari open HTML files that are stored on the device. It’s a restriction from Apple, not something we can change, and it applies to every HTML file, not just ours.
The way around it is a free file app. We use Documents by Readdle, which is free on the App Store, but any file app that opens HTML works the same way.

On a Windows PC or a Mac, double-click the file.
It opens in your default browser and you’re done.
The file is yours. Keep it wherever you like, copy it to another device, or download it again from Etsy whenever you need to.
There is no internet connection required after the download, no advertising, and nothing that can be bought from inside the game.
