I wanted to start something new. My first idea was short videos with facts for social media: interesting information, quick insights, things you can learn in a few seconds. But the more I thought about it, the more something felt missing. You watch a video today, and by tomorrow it’s lost among hundreds of others.
I wanted to create something that would last.
Something that wouldn’t just hand you information, but would connect knowledge to something useful. Small digital products that help someone learn, discover, or make a task a little easier.
That thought led me somewhere personal. As the mother of a daughter, now an adult, I saw firsthand how hard it is for a child to learn something when they don’t understand why they need it. When the “why” is missing, motivation disappears and staying focused becomes even harder. A simple explanation from Mom was rarely enough, so I started inventing stories, examples and little scenarios to help her see why it mattered first.
That’s when the idea came:
How different would it be if knowledge were presented in a way that made a child want to learn, instead of being told they have to?
Perhaps a story could do exactly that. That’s more or less how the first books began, and along with them, something bigger started to take shape.

The word “Fact” was there from the start, since everything began with the idea of facts and knowledge. But on its own it wasn’t enough. We wanted something short, original, and with a bit of character.
So one day we sat down as a family and started throwing names around. Some were too long, others too complicated, and none of them were quite it. Until one word came up.
factouli. And suddenly, it clicked.
In Greek, the ending -ouli is added to words to make them sound smaller or more affectionate. There is no perfect English equivalent, but the idea is close to turning an ordinary word into something small and endearing. A little fact.
The name wasn’t the result of endless meetings, market research, or a branding process. It was a family idea that came up in one evening, and maybe that’s exactly why we liked it.
factouli is an idea brought to life. An umbrella for different needs, different people, and different moments in everyday life. The goal is to make daily life a little simpler, faster, and easier to understand.
Every project starts with the same question: how can knowledge become more than theory? How can it turn into a practical tool that helps a parent, a child, or a professional save time, understand something more easily, or simply get it done?
That’s the thinking behind every factouli product, whoever it’s for and whatever it does.
